AS Roma have made a shrewd signing in Diego Llorente, who has become a key player for the club since joining from Leeds United a year ago.
The 30-year-old defender has played 27 games this season and has been a rock at the heart of the Giallorossi defence. His versatility and solidity have made him a firm favourite of coach José Mourinho.
Roma have an option to buy Llorente for €5 million, which they are expected to exercise. The Italian club could then decide to keep him or sell him for a higher fee. They need to generate revenue this summer, with a target of €50 million in transfer income.
